Job summary

Almost Friday Media is seeking a VP, Production (Originals) to own the operational execution of all productions across four verticals. This role focuses on logistics, planning, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and technical oversight, not development.

You will build a proactive roadmap from a simple concept, define timelines, studio needs, equipment, crew, and schedules, and align all departments under one production philosophy.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years of experience in production management across multiple shows or formats.
• Deep physical production experience and strong technical production knowledge (camera, lighting, audio, studio operations).
• Experience building and managing production teams.
• Proven budget and financial management across production, equipment, crew and rental budgets.
• Excellent communicator with ability to align multiple departments and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own production resources holistically across all four verticals (Sports, Talk, Unscripted, Scripted).
• Build and maintain long-term production calendars, weekly schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure production is not surprised by resource conflicts and bottlenecks.
• Lead cross‑department coordination between Creative, Producers, Technical Operations and Finance.
• Mentor producers and build a scalable production organization with clear workflows.
