Job summary

Brunswick’s Boston Whaler team seeks a dynamic Director of Operations to lead about 400 team members in Assembly. This hands‑on leader will drive lean transformation, culture, and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment, shaping the future of our manufacturing operation.

The role partners with engineering, quality, supply chain, HR, and finance to align strategies, lead capital projects, support new product introductions, and ensure seamless production integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; marine/boat manufacturing experience highly preferred.
• Proven success implementing Lean systems and leading cultural transformation.
• Strong understanding of Andon systems, visual management, production flow, and Lean tools.
• Experience leading large teams (300+ employees) in a fast‑paced, high‑mix manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships across functions.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive action.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
• High energy, sense of urgency, and a hands‑on leadership style.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus.

• Develop High‑Performing Teams through mentoring and development of managers, supervisors, and frontline leaders.
• Drive Operational Excellence by implementing Lean systems and improving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Lead Strategic Initiatives by partnering with engineering, quality, supply chain, HR, and finance to align operational strategies.
