Job summary

Nextpower seeks a VP, Operations Engineering to lead NPI and industrialization efforts, turning a portfolio of technologies into a scalable, globally competitive product platform. The role drives CpK improvements, supplier strategy, and an integrated operating model across R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Responsibilities include owning the NPI process, advancing DFx, and delivering high-quality, cost-efficient production readiness.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership in NPI and manufacturing.
• Experience taking products from development to commercial scale.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across hardware, software, and supply chain.
• Proven ability to manage cost, quality, schedule, and risk.
• Experience integrating acquisitions and diverse technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the NPI process from R&D handoff to supply chain handoff with cross-functional partners.
• Improve stage-gate NPI processes, design reviews, and launch readiness.
• Embed DFx considerations in product development for manufacturability and cost.
• Align with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to balance cost and functionality.
• Establish launch metrics for schedule, cost, quality, yield, and readiness.
• Build a high-performing Ops Engineering organization to scale new products.
