Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Head of New Truck Pricing to lead pricing strategy across the U.S. and Canada, directing the NTP team and pricing governance.
This role partners with Sales, DTR, ASP, DTFS, Parts, and Controlling to drive pricing accuracy, efficiency, and competitive advantage. The position requires a track record of leading high-performance teams, strong financial acumen, and the ability to influence executive leadership through data-driven insights.
The New Truck Pricing (NTP) team is responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and consistent pricing strategies across the U.S. and Canada. This includes data book pricing, option pricing, and transaction pricing methodologies that support our field sales teams for both Freightliner and Western Star brands.
The Head of NTP leads a high-impact team that develops and executes pricing strategies in close collaboration with Sales for our Top Fleet accounts. This role is accountable for the preparation and alignment of all Top Fleet deals for presentation to DTNA’s CEO, CFO, and Senior VP of Sales during Transaction Council (TC) meetings. This position also oversees the Sales Proposal Workflow (SPW) process.
In addition, the Head of NTP leads multiple teams responsible for: Developing and maintaining retail pricing and data book pricing, strategizing pricing for strategic options, and ensuring accuracy and consistency of non-strategic option pricing.
This role also manages the Pricing Business Intelligence team, which is tasked with creating and maintaining reporting tools and driving the development and implementation of DTNA’s new Pricing/Quoting Tool.
This highly visible leadership role requires a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and works effectively across functions including Sales, New Truck Controlling, DTR, ASP, DTFS, Parts, Service, CSG, Purchasing, and others. Additionally, the successful candidate must be passionate about developing and empowering teams, leading effective change management, driving top performance, and fostering an inclusive, culture-driven work environment.
Lastly, the successful candidate must possess a financially strategic mindset with exceptional attention to detail, while excel at stakeholder engagement and driving measurable business outcomes.
