Job summary

Haleon plc. in Warren, NJ seeks a versatile Head of Litigation to lead the North America litigation and dispute resolution strategy. You will partner with the General Counsel and key leaders to mitigate legal risk and protect Haleon’s brands in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires deep experience in commercial and product liability matters, strong leadership, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams. This is a full-time, hybrid position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• >10 years of significant litigation experience including complex disputes.
• Experience managing commercial/class action litigation, product liability, consumer claims, and investigations.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure, discovery, eDiscovery, trial strategy, and ADR.
• Proven ability to assess legal and business risks and advise executives.
• Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets; implementing cost-control measures.
• Ability to present litigation strategy and risk assessments to senior leadership.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Capability to lead across legal, commercial, compliance, and regulatory functions.
• Commitment to inclusive, collaborative leadership and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead NA litigation and dispute resolution strategy across a diverse matters portfolio.
• Advise on litigation risk, crisis management, investigations, and strategic business decisions.
• Drive cost-effective management of litigation spend via budgeting and staffing innovations.
• Oversee reserves, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to legal leadership.
• Direct all phases of significant litigation including discovery, motion practice, and trials.
• Develop proactive litigation prevention and risk mitigation with cross-functional partners.
• Provide business-focused legal advice balancing risk and commercial objectives.
• Manage Haleon’s outside counsel and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Lead eDiscovery strategy and data governance initiatives to reduce risk/cost.
