Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Manager of Machine Learning - AI Modeling and Operation to lead the ML infrastructure and model operations across AI features. You will own the pipelines, registries, deployment, and observability, ensuring reliable, scalable AI in production.

You will guide a team of ML engineers, collaborate with product and pillar teams, manage model routing across providers, and drive SLIs/SLOs and incident response. Remote-friendly, travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science or equivalent.
• 7+ years in software/ML with 2+ years as an engineering manager.
• Experience operating production ML systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on with ML pipelines and model lifecycle tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own the ML model lifecycle: training, registry, deployment, monitoring.
• Build CI/CD for ML: automated testing, evaluation, and promotion of models across environments.
• Drive observability: latency tracking, drift detection, cost monitoring.
• Lead ML engineering team and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional squads to productionize AI services.
