Job summary

REGENT is building a groundbreaking Seaglider platform and seeks a Manager, Mission Software to own the software foundation across all vehicle programs. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for crew interfaces, mission and autonomy applications, testing systems, and the vehicle software platform, ensuring safety, reliability, and rapid iteration.

• Leadership experience building software for vehicles, operational systems, or test programs.
• Ownership of shippable software, milestones, and people management.
• Hiring and retention: defining roles, looping, and decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build the group: define structure, hire experts, set ownership boundaries.
• Stay hands-on: review code and contribute when needed.
• Set direction across four areas and determine reuse vs. divergence.
• Match rigor to criticality: certification-grade evidence and reviews.
• Lead crew interface toward certifiable status with certification team.
• Support test operations and ensure rapid engineering answers.
• Integrate across vehicle with other teams to land a cohesive contribution.
