Job summary

Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is seeking a senior merchandising leader to drive strategic assortments, vendor partnerships, and cross-functional execution across store and digital channels.

The role anchors to our Plano, Texas hybrid model and partners with leaders to optimize sales, margin, and inventory health. You will develop merchant leaders, guide category strategies, and own financial performance while collaborating across Planning, Marketing, Ecommerce, and Product Development to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of leadership experience, including leading merchant teams.
• Strong understanding of retail buying processes and category management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leadership to merchant teams with clear direction on category strategies and financial goals.
• Set strategic direction for customer-focused assortment and category plans.
• Lead cross-functional alignment with Planning & Allocation, Marketing, Ecommerce, Store Operations, Merch Finance, Product Development, Visual Merchandising, and vendors.
• Own business performance across assigned categories including sales, margin, inventory health and turns.
• Identify trends, opportunities, and innovations to strengthen Sally’s assortment relevance.
• Guide vendor and brand partnerships to support innovation, exclusivity, and margin improvement.
• Collaborate with Merch Finance and Planning for budget, forecasting, and open-to-buy.
