Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company in Greenville, SC, seeks a Department Manager, Mechanical & Process, to lead a team of piping engineers and designers within the EPCm sector, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across multiple projects.

You will set strategic goals, manage resources and budgets, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients and cross-functional teams to meet industry standards and client requirements. The role requires PE licensure and 15 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; PE licensure mandatory.
• Minimum 15 years in EPCm or chemical process industries.
• PE licensure mandatory; PhD/advanced certs valued but not required.
• Experience with Plant 3D and Caesar II preferred.
• Pharma/food/bev/advanced manufacturing exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department resources including manpower, tools, scope, and budget.
• Ensure outputs comply with standards, policies, and safety.
• Develop staffing plans and foster staff development.
• Lead performance evaluations and compensation discussions.
• Meet cost, scheduling, and quality objectives on all projects.
• Collaborate with senior management to drive growth and client satisfaction.
• Drive process improvements and safety practices.
