Job summary

Ultipro seeks a Director of Material Planning and Scheduling to direct strategy and daily execution across material planning, scheduling, and inventory control. You will oversee staff, drive Lean initiatives, and ensure alignment with safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

The role requires 12+ years in materials with 8+ years in leadership; MAPICS or SAP experience is preferred, and a Bachelor’s degree is recommended with CPM/MAPICS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 12+ years experience managing materials function in a large manufacturing plant.
• 8+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with MAPICS or SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage plant manufacturing functions day to day to hit inventory, cost, safety and production goals.
• Lead, coach, train, develop, and evaluate Material Planning and Scheduling team.
• Collaborate with production departments and SCM to determine supply needs and feasible production schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventories and use records to monitor levels and counts.
• Plan budgets including staffing, inventory plans and operating costs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and Lean concepts while promoting associate involvement.
• Audit materials systems, procedures and processes daily and document corrective actions.
• Support cross-functional projects to improve systems and productivity.
