Head of Marketing

About Us:

Grand Charter is a fast-growing Legal x Finance company dedicated to demystifying the consumer legal landscape, and build novel financial assets. We’re currently scaling our business while delivering outstanding value to our customers. To support this, we're seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Marketing to lead and grow our marketing function.

Role Overview:

As the Head of Marketing, you will own the strategy and execution of all marketing initiatives, with a sharp focus on reducing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and driving sustainable business growth. You will manage SEO, analytics, and advertising campaigns while working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and content teams to optimize marketing performance.

This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives in data-driven environments and has a proven track record of scaling growth through coordinated, multi-channel marketing strategies. This is also an in person role, with the team based in SoHo, NYC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the overall marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performance marketing team.
  • SEO & Organic Growth
  • Own and optimize the SEO strategy to increase organic traffic and improve search visibility.
  • Collaborate with content creators and technical teams to implement SEO best practices.
  • Performance Marketing & Ad Campaigns
  • Manage and optimize paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, social, display, retargeting) to drive acquisition and brand visibility.
  • Continuously analyze and improve ROI across channels.
  • Print, Subway, Billboard, Out of Home advertising etc.
  • Data & Analytics
  • Establish a robust marketing analytics framework to track performance metrics, CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Utilize data insights to inform strategy and tactical adjustments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering for website optimization, conversion rate improvements, and marketing technology stack enhancements.
  • Partner with design teams to ensure cohesive and high-performing creative assets.
  • Coordinate with content creators to align messaging, storytelling, and SEO goals.
  • Growth & CAC Optimization
  • Develop and execute initiatives to reduce CAC while scaling acquisition efforts.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through market research, experimentation, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably in high-growth startups or digital-first companies.
  • Proven track record in managing SEO, analytics, and paid ad campaigns with measurable success.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Looker, HubSpot, or similar.
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with modern marketing technology stacks and growth frameworks.
