Enclave is solving the hybrid work problem by bringing small, tech-enabled coworking spaces to the suburbs. Right now, suburban professionals face a false choice: work at home or commute to the office. Our 100% remote managed spaces empower professionals to work near what matters most, close to home, in an environment designed to enhance productivity.

Backed by prominent Chicago and Silicon Valley VC firms, Enclave is poised to build on our initial success. The company operates 14 locations in the Chicago area, 3 (and growing) in Washington DC and is beginning its expansion efforts in multiple new markets throughout the United States.

The Role

Enclave is looking for a Head of Market - Chicago to manage our day to day operations across Chicagoland and to lead our continued expansion in the area. The Head of Market will be the lead on the ground responsible for site selection, growth, sales, staff management and daily operations.

The right candidate will be, above all else, a utility player. Responsibilities are as diverse as working with real estate agents to find the next Enclave location, managing general contractors, overseeing facilities staff, personally performing day to day operations tasks when necessary and coordinating member services and tours. The candidate will take on a lot of responsibility out of the gate, but will do so with the full support of the national team. This role will have the benefit of being stationed in the same city as headquarters and reporting directly to officers of the company. They will also benefit from entering an established market with an existing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Chicagoland team including operations, member services and facilities staff
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure spaces are perfect for members’ daily use
  • Manage the member services team to ensure new leads are guided through the sales process and converted to members
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and increase retention rates
  • Build and improve long term systems to support the team’s efforts and enhance efficiencies. Implement tools and processes to streamline regional functions
  • Grow the Market
  • Work with member services, marketing and the social media team to generate new leads and tell the local Enclave story
  • Partner with community groups and organize networking events, workshops and other activities to raise awareness of Enclave
  • Work with the advertising team to localize ads, direct mail and other outreach tactics
  • Expansion and Construction Management
  • Complete competitive analysis and pricing exercises to ensure each new space offers significant value to the company
  • Oversee construction staff and report back to operations team on progress and/or issues

Qualifications:

  • Grit. As a key member of a small team, we all have to do whatever has to be done.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think strategically to address client needs
  • Experience in operations, marketing, sales, or a customer-facing role a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM software and other customer success tools is a plus
  • Passion for creating exceptional client experiences and driving customer satisfaction
  • Travel throughout the suburbs will be required. Candidates must have adequate transportation to visit each Enclave location
