Job summary

CX2 is seeking a Head of Manufacturing to lead and scale our hardware manufacturing organization in a fast‑paced defense technology environment. This hands‑on leader will own strategy, processes, facilities, and systems to deliver high‑quality products reliably and at increasing volumes.

You will guide production planning, DFMA integration, and be a close partner to engineering to ensure design for manufacturability and testability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading manufacturing, operations, or production leadership in defense or complex hardware.
• Experience building or scaling a manufacturing operation.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems.
• Experience transitioning products from R&D to production.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001 and configuration management.
• Knowledge of DoD manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall manufacturing strategy, production operations, and execution across the organization.
• Build and scale manufacturing capabilities to support transition from prototype/LRIP to higher-volume production.
• Establish production processes, workflows, tooling, work instructions, and standards to improve quality and throughput.
• Lead manufacturing teams across production, manufacturing engineering, technicians, integration, and test.
