Job summary

TransMedics is seeking a Sr. Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead Advanced Operations, Sustaining Engineering, and Process Engineering.

You will drive transformation across manufacturing, introduce best practices, and scale operations to support growth in a high‑tech medical device environment. The role blends hands-on floor involvement with strategic transformation, focusing on design for excellence, cost efficiency, and building a premier engineering organization in the U.S.

Qualifications

15+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience in medical devices or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives.
Demonstrated expertise in regulatory frameworks and compliance systems.
Proven ability to scale manufacturing, improve product quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

Lead the Manufacturing Engineering organization — Advanced Operations, Sustaining Engineering, Process Engineering, and Technical Field Service.
Drive step-change transformation to enable growth through better practices, systems, and infrastructure.
Ensure world-class product quality, performance, and scalability in manufacturing.
Embed Design for Excellence (DfX/DFM) and lead talent growth within the team.
