Job summary

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are seeking a Managing Director of Development to provide strategic direction and leadership for major philanthropic fundraising across the United States. This leader will activate the Development Officer team to grow a donor-centered pipeline of major gifts and sustained philanthropy.

Responsibilities include coaching, multi‑year strategy, donor cultivation, and securing gifts from high‑net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years nonprofit fundraising with major gifts leadership
• Experience with comprehensive fundraising campaigns
• Strong leadership and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight of the Development Officer Team.
• Develop multi-year plans for donor prospects including corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
• Coach and supervise Development Officers, with performance evaluations and professional development.
• Identify and cultivate high-net-worth donors and secure gifts.
• Lead the major gifts program with CRM, Power BI, and data-driven reporting.
• Travel as required to engage donors and partners.
