Job summary

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever seeks a Managing Director of Development to steer the major gifts program nationwide. You will lead a team of Development Officers, cultivate high-net-worth donors, and collaborate with leadership to craft multi-year fundraising plans.

The role requires strategic leadership, donor-centered development, and strong experience in major gift solicitation, foundation appeals, and planned giving. Location in the Midwest is preferred, with travel.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher with 6+ years nonprofit fundraising, incl. major gifts leadership.
• Strong leadership, fundraising, and strategic planning experience.
• Experience with fundraising campaigns and donor relations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the major gifts program.
• Coach and supervise the Development Officer Team and coordinate work.
• Plan multi-year donor strategies across corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
• Develop and implement database management and donor research to expand the pipeline.
• Lead the delivery of major fundraising initiatives and the Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic.
