Job summary

Six Flags Darien Lake is seeking a Director of Maintenance & Facilities to lead a broad range of technical and facility functions, including ride maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural repairs. The role drives safety, reliability, and long-term performance for a major entertainment destination.

The position oversees budgeting, team development, and cross-department collaboration to ensure park readiness and an outstanding guest experience, with a schedule that includes evenings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible maintenance/engineering experience.
• Experience leading technical teams in a safety-focused operation.
• Experience managing large maintenance, capital, or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Division and provide strategic direction across rides, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and facilities.
• Champion a safety-first culture with compliance to OSHA and company standards.
• Develop and execute maintenance strategies including preventive programs and rehabilitation projects.
• Provide financial leadership including budgets, labor, and materials management.
• Build high-performing teams and develop leaders with clear performance expectations.
• Collaborate with park departments to align priorities and ensure park readiness.
• Maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
• Identify safety risks and drive continuous improvement in practices and documentation.
