Job summary

Patco Brands in the United States is seeking a logistics and transportation leader who can reduce costs while preserving service as we scale. You’ll lead our six-person logistics team, set the strategy, and dig into lane data, carrier rates, and warehouse contracts to drive performance.

This builder role covers US–Mexico cross-border, copackers, outside warehouses, and a production partner in Mexico; prior success lowering freight costs in food, beverage, or consumer goods is highly valued, and

Responsibilities

• Cost and efficiency: Build a landed-cost-per-case model. Find and deliver savings in freight, warehousing, accessorials and inventory positioning.
• Transportation: Run carrier and broker strategy, rate negotiations, mode decisions (truckload, LTL, intermodal) and quarterly RFPs.
• Warehouse contracts and spend: Own our 3PL warehouse network. Negotiate and manage contracts, rates and renewals; control warehousing spend (storage, handling, accessorials); and run KPIs and quarterly business reviews with each partner.
• Warehouse compliance: Make sure our warehouses meet food safety, regulatory and customer requirements alongside Quality. Oversee audits, certifications and corrective actions.
• Network strategy: Recommend where to hold inventory and how to scale the warehouse footprint. Bring the freight-cost view to decisions about where product is made.
• Copacker coordination: Plan inbound materials and finished-goods pickups with our copackers and Mexico production partner, including scheduling, load building and dock appointments.
• Cross-border: Own US–Mexico logistics, including customs brokers, USMCA compliance, border carriers and lead times.
• Service: Hold or improve on-time, in-full delivery to retail and distribution customers while costs come down.
• Team leadership: Lead and develop our existing logistics team of six. Set clear goals, build accountability, and shape the team as the business grows.
• Systems: Improve visibility through TMS, WMS and reporting.
