Job summary

eBay Live is expanding in Austin and seeking a senior leader to drive discovery for Category Expansion. You will own P&L for live categories, drive GMV through strategic plans, and recruit a portfolio of high-potential live sellers, brands, and creators.

You will develop run-of-show formats, coach sellers on on-camera performance, and collaborate with marketing, product, and operations to scale the live commerce business, including budgets and editorial standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6+ years in Category Management.
• BA/BS required; MBA a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid iteration.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Interest and/or experience in the Motors segment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GMV targets through strategic category plans, refined by learnings from content and format trials.
• Recruit, onboard, and cultivate a portfolio of live sellers, brands, and creators.
• Coach sellers on live selling: assortment, run-of-show/format ideas, on-camera performance, and analytics for growth.
• Develop a pipeline of engaging live events and "shoppertainment" formats.
• Establish editorial standards to elevate content quality and viewer experience.
• Track category performance and identify key growth drivers from pilots and trials.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, operations to support seller needs and platform success.
• Lead category-specific budgets and operational aspects.
