Job summary

ERCOT is seeking a Manager of IT Solutions Architecture to lead a team of architects, set technical direction, and ensure delivery aligns with security and enterprise standards. The role blends hands-on design review with people leadership, capacity forecasting, and cross-functional partnership across cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, PMO, and DevOps.

The ideal candidate has extensive cloud experience, strong API and integration knowledge, and a track record of growing teams in a 24x7

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of job-related work experience and 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in at least two IT disciplines—solution architecture, development, data management or IT operations, supporting a 24x7 environment.
• Strong foundation in application/integration architecture, distributed systems, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of application and solution architects, including hiring and performance management.
• Build and maintain monthly capacity forecasts for project planning.
• Oversee architecture standards, governance, and roadmaps across IT solutions.
• Review designs for alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and operations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, PMO, IT operations, and DevOps.
• Drive vendor strategies and input to budgeting and build-vs-buy decisions.
