Job summary

Confido Legal is seeking a remote, full-time mid-level engineer to own the partner integration path end-to-end and build our in‑house connectors. You will work on API delivery, certification, and production readiness with platform partners, including Salesforce.

The role reports to the CTO and includes limited onsite meetings; the team values ownership, pragmatic execution, and strong documentation. Previous API/integration experience and fintech knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and shipping production software with APIs and third‑party integrations.
• Technical person on the building side of an integration, working against someone else’s APIs.
• Fintech and ledgering literacy: trust accounting, reconciliation, and timing.
• Direct experience with Salesforce or other significant integration challenges.
• Writes documentation that gets used.
• Owns outcomes rather than tickets, and can work without a queue.

Responsibilities

• Own the partner integration path end-to-end, from initial technical conversations through certification and production launch.
• Serve as the technical counterpart to the engineering teams at Confido’s platform partners.
• Answer partner technical questions quickly and turn recurring questions into documentation.
• Own Confido’s API documentation, sandbox, and sample code, enabling self-serve integrations.
• Certify partner integrations before go‑live, including trust accounting, error handling, and webhook behavior.
• Build, maintain, and improve Confido’s in‑house integrations with Salesforce and other applications.
• Keep existing integrations healthy, monitor errors, and fix issues proactively.
• Bring learnings back into product and engineering to influence the roadmap.
• Write code; this is a hands-on building role.

Role Responsibilities

Own the partner integration path end-to-end, from a partner’s first technical conversation through certification and production launch

Serve as the technical counterpart to the engineering teams at Confido’s platform partners

Answer partner technical questions directly and fast, and turn the recurring ones into documentation

Own Confido’s API documentation, sandbox, and sample code, and hold them to a standard where a competent engineer gets to a working integration without a call

Certify partner integrations before they go live, covering trust accounting correctness, error and edge case handling, reconciliation, authentication, and webhook behavior

Build, maintain, and improve Confido’s in-house integrations with Salesforce and other similar applications, including the accounting write-back workflows firms depend on

Keep existing integrations working well, monitoring them, owning the errors, and fixing them before a firm reports the problem

Bring what you learn during integrations back into product and engineering, so the partner and firm view shapes the roadmap

Write the code. This is a hands‑on building role, not a coordination role

Success Metrics

More partners reach production per quarter without more engineering time per partner

Partner technical questions decline as a share of integrations, because the documentation answers them

New in-house integrations reach production, and planned features land in the in‑house integrations we already run

Volume processed through in‑house built integrations grows quarter over quarter

Confido’s integrations run smoothly, with error rates and unresolved reconciliation breaks trending down

No integration reaches production with a significant defect

There is a clear, owned integration roadmap aligned with the company’s growth

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

3+ years building and shipping production software, with meaningful time on APIs and third‑party integrations

Has been the technical person on the building side of an integration, working against someone else’s APIs

Fintech and ledgering literacy: what a ledger is, how reconciliation works, and why settlement timing matters. Trust accounting fluency is rare and highly valued

Direct experience with Salesforce or other similar applications that present significant integration challenges

Writes documentation that gets used

Comfortable being the person who explains the API on a call in the morning and fixes it that afternoon

Owns outcomes rather than owns tickets, and is comfortable working without a queue handed to them

Communicates clearly with founders, partner engineers, sales, and law firm customers

Values ownership, empathy, and long‑term thinking over rigid process
