Job summary

Rain Bird is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead the injection molding production and maintenance teams at the Tucson facility. You will guide capital projects, oversee mold refurbishments, and drive safety, quality, and cost improvement initiatives across molding operations.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of supervisory experience in molding, strong SPC/DOE knowledge, and bilingual English/Spanish communication skills to lead cross-functional teams and improve manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

Eight years of manufacturing supervisory experience in injection molding or similar.
Experience with SPC, TQM, TPM, P/DFMEA, and DOE concepts.
Proficiency in project management and Microsoft Office.
Experience in verification and validation, including design reviews, change control, etc.
Bilingual English/Spanish with excellent communication and people management skills.

Responsibilities

Lead production supervisory team to fulfill production requirements
Improve and support production and quality procedures and processes to enable TUS molding to be the best molding house
Supervise the maintenance of injection molding machinery and its auxiliary equipment
Participates in project justification and project management; oversee capital improvement projects for TUS molding
Evaluate and assign capital projects to vendors and be responsible for ensuring successful project completion
Maintain and improve the plant’s safety and housekeeping
Lead cost reduction, machine, equipment, and automatic system optimization; and continuous improvement
Lead production teams to validate new and transferred molds for TUS molding
Work insatiably to improve the way TUS molding operates
Lead and support related activities to New Product Development and Introduction from a manufacturing perspective
Owns plans for repair and refurbishment of molds and will report out to senior leadership on project status
Monitors performance and productivity for improvement
Hires, supervises, train, and help grow molding and tooling technicians
Support Molding Excellence activities and lead corresponding activities in TUS molding
