Job summary

CLX Engineering seeks a seasoned leader to guide the Industrial Systems Engineering and Delivery organization. You will grow engineering managers, implement KPI‑driven performance, and standardize methods that scale throughput and quality.

You will define and execute an engineering strategy, ensure governance, and engage on complex projects with customers while aligning resources with company goals across functions.

What You’ll Own

• Leadership Engine: Grow Engineering Managers and technical leads; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Operating Rhythm: Set performance expectations and institute KPIs/operational metrics that provide clarity and drive outcomes.
• Scaling the Org: Define and run an engineering strategy aligned to company goals; standardize methods, tooling, and best practices that scale throughput and quality.
• Technology Decisions: Evaluate and deploy systems that enhance engineering efficiency and reliability.
• Technical Governance and Delivery ExcellenceGuarantee that deliverables meet quality standards, customer expectations, and project requirements.
• Maintain engineering standards, documentation discipline, and rigorous review processes.
• Engage directly on critical projects, customer escalations, and complex technical issues.
• Advance consistency, risk controls, and operational readiness across teams and programs.
• Enterprise CollaborationWork hand-in-hand with Operations, PMO, Manufacturing, Sales, and the Executive team to align resources and priorities.
• Contribute to staffing models, capacity plans, forecasting, and long-range growth planning.
• Support customer engagements, technical reviews, and business development conversations.
• Ensure engineering efforts translate to operational efficiency, financial performance, and customer success.

Developing Talent and Improving Systems

• Lead recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and performance management for engineering leaders.
• Design technical career paths and cultivate future leaders.
• Champion continuous improvement, structured knowledge-sharing, and process optimization.
• Ensure critical knowledge is captured and propagated across CLX Engineering.

Role Basics

• Travel as needed to customer sites, operational facilities, and company locations.
• Other responsibilities that align with the scope of this leadership role.
