Job summary

HEIDELBERG, a historic technology leader, is seeking a Head of Hybrid Infrastructure Operations to lead a global IT infrastructure team. You will own the stable operation and ongoing modernization of cloud, data center, network, and workplace services, including Microsoft 365 and security compliance.

In this role you will drive an efficient operating model, work with internal teams and external partners, and influence strategic infrastructure decisions for a globally distributed organization.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in IT infrastructure or IT operations.
• Strong background in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
• Excellent knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the stable and performant global operation of IT infrastructure services and their continuous development (Cloud & Data Center, Network & Connectivity, Workplace & Identity incl. Microsoft 365).
• Provide formal and disciplinary leadership of a global department of ~30 staff.
• Ensure availability, performance and service quality in a global IT environment.
• Define and continuously improve service levels (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Establish clear roles, responsibilities and end-to-end ownership.
• Develop an efficient and scalable operating model, considering nearshore/offshore models.
• Advance a modern Hybrid infrastructure (Cloud & On-Premise).
• Drive simplification/standardization and efficiency via automation.
• Oversee external vendors and service providers with the Plan&Steer function.
• Ensure economical and efficient service delivery and compliance with security requirements.
