Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Director to lead HR Operational Excellence and Compliance for North America. You will drive governance, compliance, onboarding controls, and immigration processes across the U.S. and Canada while advancing a scalable operating model that leverages AI, automation, and external partnerships.

The role requires strong expertise in ERISA, audit readiness, I-9, and regulatory interactions, with a focus on operational excellence and risk management across multiple functions.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in HR Compliance/Operations and Talent Acquisition operations.
• Experience with ERISA governance, regulatory audits, I-9 management, and immigration controls.
• Ability to design future-state operating models blending internal expertise with AI-enabled tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead NA-wide HR compliance governance across US and Canada.
• Oversee I-9 management, immigration, onboarding, and TA compliance controls.
• Design governance forums and accountability across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Legal and Finance.
• Deploy AI-enabled support and automation to improve compliance execution and employee experience.
