Job summary

Bayer AG in the United States seeks a Director of HR Operational Excellence and Compliance to lead North America governance for HR compliance, immigration, onboarding, and TA onboarding controls.

This role builds a scalable operating model with AI-enabled support while preserving privacy, trust, and regulatory compliance across US/Canada. Partners with Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Digital teams to drive audits and modernization.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in HR Compliance/Operations and governance.
• Experience with ERISA governance, I-9, payroll/benefits interfaces.
• Experience leading cross-functional, matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead NA-wide HR compliance governance across US/Canada.
• Oversee ERISA, regulatory interactions, audit readiness, and onboarding controls.
• Define governance forums and accountability across HR, TA, Payroll, Legal, Finance.
• Apply AI-enabled tools to improve compliance and service delivery.
• Enhance governance, SLAs, change control, and partner accountability.
• Prepare the organization for scalable, future-state operating model.
