Qualifications

• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Stationary Engineer’s license if required by local code.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and move up to 50 lbs.
• Effective communication with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing maintenance plans for property, equipment, and assets.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in service standards and safety.
• Create and post Engineering staff schedules and manage the department budget.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs for hotel equipment.
• Oversee life safety and emergency systems per Highgate standards.
• Participate in safety committees and hotel programs.
