Walter Reed Post Acute and Healthcare Center is seeking a Director of Maintenance to lead all facility maintenance operations, ensuring a safe, functional, and fully operational environment that supports high-quality resident care.

The role requires a minimum of four years in a maintenance position within a nursing home or healthcare setting, with HVAC certification strongly preferred. You will oversee staff, coordinate vendors, and manage critical systems to prevent downtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years in a maintenance role in a healthcare setting.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics.

Responsabilités

• Oversee maintenance operations to keep the facility safe, functional, and well-maintained.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and vendor coordination for timely work.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.
• Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Maintain and monitor critical facility systems (boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety gaps.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies to ensure resident safety and continuity of care.
