Job summary

Rachio seeks a Director of Product Hardware to own the devices roadmap, define hardware product concepts, and drive the PDP from idea through EVT, DVT, and PVT to a fully shipped product.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Supply Chain, Design, Support, Finance, and Sales to ensure on-time, in-budget, and high-quality hardware that customers love, with tethered app experiences and partner/OEM programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management/engineering owning hardware end-to-end.
• 5+ years leading consumer hardware/devices PM as the lead PM.
• 3+ years working with mobile apps or connected devices.
• Strong written communication.
• Experience with hardware development cycles including EVT/DVT/PVT.

Responsibilities

• Own the hardware roadmap and product strategy across new products and lifecycle work.
• Write working backwards docs and convert to detailed requirements for ENG/Design.
• Run hardware PDP with gates EVT, DVT, PVT and ramp.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain on cost targets and certification timelines.
• Partner with Product Marketing on GTM launches and launch readiness.
• Own discovery with homeowners/installers and measure activation and CSAT.
