Tutor Intelligence, Inc. is hiring a Head of Hardware Engineering to lead the team that designs and builds our robots. You set the hardware roadmap with the CTO, you grow the team, and you are responsible for every robot we ship working as designed and building at the rate we need.

You report to the CTO. The hardware organization will grow a lot, in people and in the range of products it covers. The person in this role builds the teams that make that happen, hires the people who lead them, and

Qualifications

• Led hardware engineering organizations of 50+ people.
• Led mechanical, electrical, and firmware/embedded engineers.
• Owned or closely collaborated with manufacturing engineering (process, test, fixtures, DFM).
• Developed managers who lead teams.
• Worked closely with a technical founder or CTO.

Responsibilities

• Set hardware roadmap with CTO and grow the team.
• Ensure all shipped robots meet design intent and scale production.
• Hire and develop leaders across hardware disciplines.
• Coordinate with manufacturing engineering for process and fixtures.
