Job summary

Acron Aviation is seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager for our Surveillance product line. You will lead a diverse team of RF, FPGA/Firmware, Electrical, Mechanical, CAD, and Component Engineers, driving strategy and execution across the full hardware lifecycle.

You will shape workforce planning, mentor leaders, and partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to deliver cost-effective, high-quality avionics hardware for TCAS/ACAS and transponder products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, avionics, defense, or related industries.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or management experience with direct reports.
• Experience managing complex hardware development programs across the full product lifecycle.
• People-first leadership with talent development, coaching, performance management, and team building.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary hardware engineering team across RF, FPGA/Firmware, Electrical, Mechanical, CAD, and Components.
• Shape and execute hardware strategy, workforce planning, and execution priorities.
• Drive new product development, enhancements, and sustaining engineering to meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance goals.
• Provide technical oversight of hardware architecture, design reviews, and verification activities.
• Champion design for manufacturability, cost, test, reliability, and supportability with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Own component selection, obsolescence management, and long-term sustainment strategy.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, customers, and stakeholders to drive program outcomes.
