Your resume and cover letter, tailored to exactly what they’re hiring for.
Wizard, Inc. is seeking a hands-on GTM leader to own the public launch, self-serve funnel, and revenue until the Head of Commercial joins.
You will hire and lead marketing and support, and partner with product and engineering on growth initiatives for a cutting-edge AI-native creative platform built around a native C++ editor. You’ll build programs with Story and YouTube partners, set up analytics, and drive activation from waitlist to paid seats, reporting weekly the metrics that matter to
Wizard is the AI-native platform for creative work, starting with professional video: a native C++ editor and headless media runtime that humans, agents, and developers all operate.
Get Wizard out the door this winter, and make it grow every week after.
Wizard launches publicly this winter. We have a waitlist, a production partner in Story whose S3 series reaches 250K subscribers, and a product editors already finish real deliverables on. The next step is a launch and a growth engine: the path from seeing a demo to a whole team cutting on Wizard. You'll own that path, and the people who run it.
You'll report to Jason Carman, our Founder & CEO, and own the public launch, the self-serve funnel, marketing, and support. You'll hire and lead our marketing and support leads, and own revenue until our Head of Commercial joins, then partner with them as they take on big entertainment and enterprise. This is a hands-on leadership role; you'll write the email, run the experiment, and read the data yourself.
Run the public launch: signup, download, onboarding, and the pricing page.
Own the self-serve funnel from waitlist to activation to paid seats, and report its numbers every week.
Hire and lead the Head of Marketing & Content and the Support Lead.
Build the creator program with Story and YouTube partners: demos, tutorials, education, and referral loops.
Partner with engineering on free tiers and apps built on Wizard Headless, including WizReview, as on-ramps.
Set up the GTM stack: CRM, product analytics, lifecycle email, and attribution.
PLG launch experience: you've launched and grown a product-led creative tool, and can show the numbers.
Product-led instincts: you know where activation breaks and fix it with product, not only messaging.
Team building: you've hired and led marketing, growth, or support people.
Comfort with data: you write your own queries and build your own dashboards.
Creative-world fluency: you know how editors, creators, and post teams find, test, and adopt tools.
We welcome different backgrounds. Evidence of a strong fit could include:
GTM or growth leadership at Figma, Canva, Notion, Linear, Runway, CapCut, or a company like them.
A launch or growth loop you ran, with the before-and-after metrics.
Something you built yourself with AI tools to grow a product or audience.
You do not need a Head of GTM title. We care about what you've grown, how you measure it, and how well you understand creators.
Every so often, a new technology redefines how stories get told: the printing press, the telephone, radio, the film camera, the cutting room, television, the digital camera, non-linear editing. We think we're at the start of the next one, and we intend to build the company that defines it.
Wizard is the AI-native platform for creative work, starting with the hardest creative workflow: professional video. In roughly six months, our team built a native C++ editor and a headless media runtime that humans, agents, and developers all operate. Oz, our agent, ingests footage at roughly 300× real time and edits at 30–60× real time, and every change it makes stays inspectable, editable, and reversible.
Our philosophy is creative as code: every decision editable, controllable, composable, never generative slop you regenerate and hope for the best. Controllability over convenience. Artist integrity over automation. Taste over throughput.
Our sister company is Story, a production company making video for frontier AI labs and deep-tech companies. We work closely with them: Story is our first customer and in-house design partner, and its editors cut real client work on Wizard every day.
Our team comes from Industrial Light & Magic, Netflix, Apple, Epic Games, Lucasfilm, Blizzard, and 2K. We work in person in San Francisco.
