Wizard is seeking a revenue leadership role to own pricing and the initial monetization of our AI-native platform for creative work. You will close major entertainment and enterprise deals, then build and scale the sales and partnerships team under the Head of GTM.
You will report to the Founder & CEO and work hand-in-hand with forward deployed engineers to deliver revenue results and a customer-driven roadmap. This is a hands-on leadership role based in San Francisco.
Wizard is the AI-native platform for creative work, starting with professional video: a native C++ editor and headless media runtime that humans, agents, and developers all operate.
Turn the first AI-native professional editor into a revenue engine across studios and enterprise.
Wizard is going public this winter with a product professionals already cut on, paying customers in a private beta, and an LOI from a Hollywood studio. We serve four kinds of customer: big entertainment (Hollywood and streaming), enterprise and in-house creative teams, prosumer creators, and AI-forward self-serve developers. Seats are our first revenue line; usage-based inference, headless runtime access, collaboration, and data partnerships come next. You'll own the number that defines our next chapter.
You'll join once pricing and the public launch are set, report to Jason Carman, our Founder & CEO, and take ownership of revenue from our Head of GTM. You'll close the first big entertainment and enterprise deals yourself, then hire the sales and partnerships team that scales them. You'll work hand in hand with the Head of GTM, who owns self-serve, and with forward deployed engineers who deliver each account.
Own pricing, packaging, and the revenue plan across seats, usage-based inference, and headless runtime access.
Close the first big entertainment and enterprise deals personally, including converting our studio LOI.
Build pipeline with studios, streamers, production companies, agencies, and in-house creative teams.
Hire and lead sales and partnerships, including data partnerships with AI labs.
Own forecasting, pipeline reviews, and revenue reporting to the board.
Bring what customers say back to product, and protect the roadmap from one-off asks.
PLG into enterprise: you've scaled a product-led company into enterprise and big-account revenue before.
Credibility in the room: you can sit with a studio head of post, a VP of creative, or an agency owner and talk workflow, security, and cost.
Commercial design: you've built pricing for seats, usage, or platform access and changed it when the data said to.
Product judgment: you know what to sell now, what to promise later, and what to turn down.
Ownership: you carry a number personally while building the system around it.
We welcome different backgrounds. Evidence of a strong fit could include:
Sales or partnerships leadership at Figma, Frame.io, Runway, Canva, Notion, Autodesk Media & Entertainment, or a company like them.
Deals you closed with studios, networks, streamers, or enterprise creative teams.
A sales team you built from zero at an early-stage company.
You do not need a Head of Sales or VP title. We care about what you've closed, how you think about pricing, and how well you understand creative work.
Every so often, a new technology redefines how stories get told: the printing press, the telephone, radio, the film camera, the cutting room, television, the digital camera, non-linear editing. We think we're at the start of the next one, and we intend to build the company that defines it.
Wizard is the AI-native platform for creative work, starting with the hardest creative workflow: professional video. In roughly six months, our team built a native C++ editor and a headless media runtime that humans, agents, and developers all operate. Oz, our agent, ingests footage at roughly 300× real time and edits at 30–60× real time, and every change it makes stays inspectable, editable, and reversible.
Our philosophy is creative as code: every decision editable, controllable, composable, never generative slop you regenerate and hope for the best. Controllability over convenience. Artist integrity over automation. Taste over throughput.
Our sister company is Story, a production company making video for frontier AI labs and deep-tech companies. We work closely with them: Story is our first customer and in-house design partner, and its editors cut real client work on Wizard every day.
Our team comes from Industrial Light & Magic, Netflix, Apple, Epic Games, Lucasfilm, Blizzard, and 2K. We work in person in San Francisco.
