Job summary

The Bay Club Company in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Group Exercise Director to lead the Group Exercise department and deliver safe, innovative programs for members. This leadership role manages operations, budget, and revenue targets while ensuring exceptional service and hospitality.

The ideal candidate provides proven leadership in fitness operations, holds CPR/First Aid/AED credentials, and maintains a professional, customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Current CPR, First Aid, and AED Certifications
• Certification with ACE/AFAA/ACSM/NASM
• Previous fitness operations experience
• Proven leadership and communication skills
• Customer service oriented and professional demeanor
• Self-motivated with initiative and ability to multi-task
• Well organized and detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises, develops, and terminates associates in accordance with policy
• Performs timely performance evaluations for associates
• Manage payroll processing for supervised staff
• Profitably manage group exercise operations with standards
• Oversee customer service, marketing, purchasing, budgeting and financial analysis
• Ensure departments operate within budgets and guidelines
• Represent the club professionally in image and communication
• Provide members with exciting and innovative group exercise programs
• Track, report and analyze financial operation daily/weekly/monthly
• Prepare action plans to meet monthly financial goals
• Review financial statements and reports
