Job summary

The Bay Club Company is seeking a Group Exercise Instructor to lead engaging, safe group classes under the guidance of the Group Fitness Director, while delivering outstanding customer service to members and guests.

The role requires current group exercise certification (ACE/AFAA/ACSM or equivalent), CPR/AED, and at least two years of teaching experience. Expect weekend and holiday hours, and a professional, friendly work approach.

Qualifications

• Current Group Exercise certification with ACE, AFAA or ACSM or equivalent.
• Current American Red Cross CPR/AED certification.
• Minimum two years of group exercise or fitness-related teaching experience.
• Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service abilities.
• Sales and Marketing knowledge for promoting and selling services.
• Strong problem anticipation and deductive reasoning abilities.
• Clear oral comprehension and expression.
• Ability to use Word, Excel and other TBCC software.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide variety of group classes to a discerning fitness population.
• Ensure classes are of the highest quality of content, safety and physical challenge.
• Present innovative, entertaining and fun classes.
• Remain open and attentive to changing fitness needs of members.
• Deliver an exceptional experience to members, guests and associates.
• Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate.
• Participate in events, programs, meetings and training.
• Represent the club professionally through image, dress and communication.
