Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Director of Government Contracts in New York, NY (Hybrid). The role oversees a $115M contract portfolio funded by NYC/State agencies, foundations, and donors, supervising the Financial Analysis and Billing teams to ensure fiscal health and strong funder relationships.

The ideal candidate has a CPA or MBA (preferred) and 7+ years in billing and financial analysis, with 3+ years in supervision. Strong Excel/Word skills and a strategic mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of billing, budgeting, and financial analysis experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency with networked accounting systems; advanced Excel and Word skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a $115M contract portfolio, including billing, budgeting, audit support, and forecasting.
• Provide analyses of financial trends and present insights to senior/program management.
• Direct and mentor the Financial Analysis and Billing teams for accurate vouchering and budgeting.
• Present weekly cash flow projections and monthly billing matrices.
• Collaborate with Program Directors and Controller to optimize portfolio management.
• Maintain internal controls and variance analysis with budget-vs-actual reporting.
