Head of Global Data Center - Segment Sales - Motion Business

This position reports to the Division President.

Your role and responsibilities
  1. Owner of the long-term commercial and customer strategies to achieve success for ABB Motion Business Area in the Data Center global segment.
  2. Lead understanding and strategy development to address rapidly changing technologies for cooling and backup power.
  3. Manage executive relationships with hyperscale, enterprise, and data center industry stakeholders.
  4. Develop and lead a team of key account managers, enhancing global sales efficiency and performance.
  5. Ensure growth in sales, market share, and customer satisfaction in the data center market.
  6. Develop and implement a market-based strategy including direct, third-party, and project sales.
  7. Build relationships with key internal and external influencers and leverage ABB strengths to capture new business opportunities.
  8. Drive cross-division, cross-product, and cross-region collaboration for the market segment.

Key responsibilities
  1. Strategy: Create, implement, and review Data Center Strategy, including plans for End-User, EPCs, and influencing OEMs, aligning ABB Motion Divisions to develop a unified message to data center owners.
  2. Team Development: Build and manage a team of 5-10 key account managers to manage relationships and promote ABB Motion brand recognition within the data center industry.
  3. Market Understanding: Communicate and understand data center architecture, infrastructure, and applications, leading to defining standards and delivery models.
  4. Targets: Drive profitable growth through penetration, innovation, and expansion, ensuring achievement of volume, pricing, and portfolio goals.
  5. Market Analysis: Conduct industry benchmarking and analysis to identify trends, product gaps, and regulatory standards, managing risks and capturing new opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering preferred) with minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 7 years in customer-facing sales within an industrial market.
  • Experience in Industrial Motors and/or Drives, with knowledge of global business finance and Data Center Infrastructure support.
  • Preferred: SAP, WorkDay, Lean Six Sigma, PMP Certifications, experience in a matrix organization, OEM background.
  • Travel up to 50%.
  • Existing work authorization for employment in the US.
