Job summary

GM Motorsports in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced engineering leader to drive the full-vehicle test cell and connected simulation capabilities for Motorsports programs, race team partners, and GM production groups.

You will lead a high-performing team of dyno and simulation specialists, shape strategy and process, ensure safety, data quality, and program execution, and collaborate across controls, calibration, and vehicle dynamics teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Ten or more years of progressive professional engineering experience in dynamometer operations, test-cell operations, propulsion, automotive testing, motorsports, controls, simulation, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Organization: Build a high-performing team of dyno and simulation specialists; set priorities and development goals.
• Own the Test-Cell Capability: Manage performance, reliability, and operating model of the full-vehicle test cell.
• Integrate Programs and Partners: Serve as the technical integrator across race-program propulsion systems and related functions.
• Direct Test Strategy and Execution: Plan and prioritize full-vehicle and powertrain dynamometer testing; coordinate readiness and execution.
• Ensure Safe, Reliable Operations: Ensure safe operation of high-voltage electrified systems, dyno environments, and facilities.
