Job summary

Eataly North America is seeking a Fresh Market Manager to lead the Cheese & Salumi, Fish & Meat, Bakery, Produce and Fresh Pasta departments in our Chicago area stores. You will report to Store Operations Manager and oversee department leads, plan and execute strategies to maximize guest satisfaction and profitability.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, maintaining health and safety standards, managing inventory and supplier relationships, analyzing sales data, and collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 4+ years of retail management experience in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Business management and financial analysis skills.
• Experience purchasing and managing inventory.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Italian fresh products.
• Experience with cured meats, artisan cheeses, butchering and fish mongering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees fresh departments (Cheese & Salumi, Fish & Meat, Bakery, Produce, Fresh Pasta).
• Leads and trains department managers and staff; handles payroll and performance evaluations.
• Provides strategic and financial reports to upper management.
• Ensures counters and displays are visually appealing and merchandised.
• Analyzes data to drive sales, profitability and efficiency.
• Collaborates with culinary team to meet retail, quick-service and restaurant needs.
• Manages purchasing, transfers, and supplier relationships to maximize profit and reduce waste.
• Maintains health standards and arranges repairs or services as needed.
• Resolves employee and guest incidents; performs other duties as assigned.
