Job summary

Shield Technology Partners in NYC seeks a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to build and lead a best‑in‑class FP&A function. You will partner with executive leadership, own long‑range strategy, revenue and P&L forecasting, and advanced analysis to guide decisions in a growth environment.

This builder role requires comfort with ambiguity, strategic and hands‑on work, and quarterly travel. Develop scalable FP&A processes, M&A models, and data integrity across financial inputs while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 8+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or related field, including leadership experience.
• Strong financial analysis and ability to synthesize data into insights and strategy.
• Proven experience supporting mergers & acquisitions, including due diligence and financial modeling.
• Experience building or scaling FP&A functions in a high-growth environment.
• Public company experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and executive presence with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-range financial planning, including multi-year modeling, cash flow forecasting, and enterprise scenario planning.
• Own and refine revenue and full P&L forecasting, driving key business drivers and insights.
• Perform deep financial analysis to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities and translate into recommendations.
• Build dynamic financial models to support strategic initiatives including M&A evaluation and capital allocation.
• Support M&A activity, including financial due diligence, valuation support, and post-acquisition modeling.
• Partner with executives as a trusted advisor, delivering forward-looking insights to shape strategy.
