Simbe Robotics in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Director of FP&A to own the 3-statement financial model, lead budgeting and forecasting, and build an IPO-ready finance function as the company scales.
Reporting to the COO, this hands-on role requires partnering with Sales, Operations, and Product to drive performance, implement AI-enabled forecasting, and manage investor and lender relationships. The role blends startup speed with the rigor of a larger organization.
Simbe Robotics is a leading retail technology company providing in-store intelligence solutions that help retailers improve inventory availability, shelf execution, pricing accuracy, and operational performance.
Our autonomous robots, computer vision systems, and multimodal data platform are transforming how retailers understand and manage their stores. Simbe supports some of the world's largest retailers across a rapidly growing base of enterprise deployments.
Reporting to the COO, Simbe's Director of FP&A will own financial planning, forecasting, and the financial story we tell our Board, investors, and lenders.
This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility seat for someone who wants direct ownership of the model and the numbers — operating with startup speed and the rigor of a much larger finance organization.
Longer term, this role is about building an IPO‑ready FP&A function: planning, reporting, and systems that scale with Simbe rather than needing to be rebuilt later.
We're looking for a builder and a leader — someone who treats AI and tooling as leverage, not a threat, and who's excited to define what this function looks like as Simbe scales rather than assume a big team is a given. You'll bring rigor without bureaucracy, and the confidence to be Simbe's trusted voice on financial planning and performance.
At Simbe, you will be at the forefront of retail innovation, working with cutting‑edge AI and robotics technologies to transform how retailers operate and serve their customers.
You will have the opportunity to lead a critical company function during a period of significant enterprise growth and help build the financial infrastructure supporting Simbe's next stage.
