Inspekt AI in Boston is seeking a Head of Finance & Operations to own the financial engine and operational scaffolding from the ground up.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead monthly close, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, SaaS metrics, board financials, and the investor data room while supporting global expansion.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role with a clear path to CFO and meaningful equity as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Experience in audit, transaction services, corporate finance, or business operations at a Big 4 firm or equivalent high-growth tech environment.
• Formal accounting qualification (ACCA / ACA / CPA) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close, compile monthly reporting packs, and prepare comprehensive board financials.
• Own weekly cash flow forecasting, treasury, and runway modeling.
• Architect the annual operating plan, department budgets, and rolling forecasts.
• Define, track, and report SaaS metrics including ARR, gross margins, churn, CAC payback, and unit economics per drone inspection.
• Build and maintain the investor data room for fundraising rounds.
• Oversee global compliance, tax, and legal filings with external partners.
• Run global payroll and manage international contractor structures.
• Design scalable internal tools, workflows, and policies for a distributed team.

By combining autonomous drones, thermal imaging, and advanced computer vision, we create high-precision digital twins that automatically flag structural defects- cracks, leaks, seal failures, and energy loss that manual rope inspections miss. We serve commercial building owners, enterprise property managers, and tier-one contractors across global hospitality, office, and residential portfolios. Currently operating in Madrid, Barcelona, Bern, and Singapore, we are expanding rapidly and are backed by leading venture capital firm Flashpoint. We are a lean, agile team with real revenue and real customers. Up until now, we have scaled without a dedicated internal finance or structured operations function. That is where you come in.

The Role

As our Head of Finance and Operations, you will be our first dedicated corporate hire, owning both the financial engine and the operational scaffolding of the company from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will move seamlessly between strategic financial modeling and hands-on operational execution to support our global expansion.

What You’ll Own

Financial Leadership

• Core Finance & Accounting: Manage the monthly close, compile monthly reporting packs, and prepare comprehensive board financials.
• Cash & Runway Management: Own weekly cash flow forecasting, treasury, and runway modeling to ensure tight capital allocation.
• Strategic Planning: Partner directly with the CEO to architect the annual operating plan, department budgets, and rolling forecasts.
• SaaS & Unit Economics: Define, track, and report the metrics that matter most to our business model—including ARR growth, gross margins, churn, CAC payback, and unit economics per drone inspection.
• Fundraising Prep: Build, maintain, and own the investor data room to prepare the company for our upcoming funding rounds.

Operational Excellence

• Global Compliance & Legal: Oversee audit, tax, and statutory filings across global jurisdictions while managing external localized accounting and legal partners.
• HR & Back-Office Operations: Run global payroll, optimize international contractor structures, manage vendor relationships, and oversee corporate insurance policies.
• Process Architecture: Design and implement the scalable internal tools, workflows, and policies required as our distributed international team grows.

About You

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of foundational experience within audit, transaction services, corporate finance, or business operations at a Big 4 firm or equivalent high-growth technology environment.
• Credentials: A formal accounting qualification (ACCA / ACA / CPA) is highly desirable.
• Technical Rigor: You are an elite financial modeler who builds dynamic Excel models from a completely blank sheet, paired with a practical understanding of operational systems. You are comfortable being the sole custodian of data integrity.
• Mindset: You want to actively run and build a business, not just review or audit one. You thrive on autonomy, problem-solving, and a "blank canvas" environment.
• Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English fluency.
