Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Three (3) years progressively responsible experience as a construction manager or project manager for facilities construction projects including extensive public sector experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project scope, budget, funding and schedule development.
• Participate in consultant selection and contract negotiations.
• Coordinate among County, consultants and agencies; manage payments and claims.
• Ensure projects stay within approved budgets and schedules; review technical reports and contract documents.
• Supervise staff and consultants on project criteria, codes, standards and CEQA/ADA compliance.
• Lead public hearings and present project status reports; drive timely project close-out.
• Develop policy to ensure quality control of construction and inspection activities.
