Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks a strategic leader to serve as Lead, External Recognitions and Honorific Awards within the Office of Research Education (ORE). The Lead will shape a data-informed nomination strategy across disciplines, collaborating with directorates, societies, and foundations to elevate ORNL's recognition footprint.

Qualifications

Advanced degree required.
Seven+ years of relevant experience in research administration, external recognition, or related field.
Proven ability to develop and implement nomination strategies across disciplines.
Strong communication and leadership skills to work with senior scientists and external committees.

Responsibilities

Set laboratory-wide strategy for external recognitions and honorific awards.
Lead nomination development with disciplines, nominators, and reviewers.
Manage top-tier and limited-submission nominations with timely submissions.
Identify strong candidates and map recognition pathways across career stages and directorates.
Maintain data, metrics, and impact tracking for recognition activities.
