Job summary

LAZ Parking in Austin is seeking a Director of Parking Operations – Events to lead the end-to-end parking operations for high-volume events. You will oversee financial, safety, service, and people performance, ensuring plans are executed on schedule with a focus on guest experience and profitability.

You will plan staffing, coordinate with partners, and develop contingency plans while mentoring Event Operations Managers.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of parking, event, venue, hospitality, transportation, or related operations management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial, operational, safety, and service success of all assigned event parking operations within the market.
• Lead the planning and execution of parking operations for large-scale events, including traffic flow and staffing.
• Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, control labor and operating expenses, and ensure profitability.
• Build and maintain strong client and venue relationships through regular communication and delivery of service.
• Collaborate with clients, venue leadership, security, and transportation partners for event execution.
• Conduct pre-event planning meetings and post-event recaps to identify needs and improvements.
• Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of Event Operations Managers and leaders.
• Ensure staffing levels based on event attendance, inventory, and contract requirements.
