Job summary

Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Environmental Services Director to lead Housekeeping, Laundry, and Floor Care. You will drive cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention across the facility while fostering a high-performance team.

Responsibilities include policy development, staff coaching, budget management, and cross-department collaboration to support resident care and regulatory readiness. A strong leadership background in healthcare is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Environmental Services experience in healthcare settings.
• Supervisory/management experience required.
• Infection control, cleaning procedures, and sanitation standards knowledge.
• Experience managing staff schedules, training, and evaluations.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Environmental Services operations including Housekeeping, Laundry, and Floor Care.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance in all areas.
• Develop and monitor departmental policies and QA initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulations related to environmental services and infection prevention.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate team members.
• Foster a positive, accountable team culture focused on excellence.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure quality standards.
• Manage budgets, inventory, equipment, and supplies.
• Collaborate with Nursing, Maintenance, Dietary, Admissions, and others.
• Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns promptly.
• Prepare the department for state surveys and inspections.
• Promote outstanding customer service and a welcoming environment.
