Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a Director of Safety to lead enterprise-wide safety strategy, build training programs, and partner with operations to embed a strong safety culture across a multi-site field operation.

You will lead a safety team, ensure OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, PHMSA, NFPA 58 compliance, and use data to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

This role requires influencing senior leadership, strong communication, and proven leadership in safety programs across complex operations.

Qualifications

• Deep working knowledge of OSHA regulations; DOT/FMCSA, hazmat, and fleet safety familiarity.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills using safety data and metrics to drive decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive presentations.
• Experience leading safety programs in multi-site environments.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive safety strategy aligned with Ferrellgas's objectives.
• Design and continuously improve safety policies, training, and programs.
• Lead and develop a regional safety team and allocate resources to high-risk areas.
