Job summary

Dickinson College is seeking a Director of Data Platform and Application Services within ITS to lead the enterprise data platform, integrations, automation, and custom apps. You will guide architecture, standards, and secure data access while partnering with campus leaders to support operational and strategic decisions.

You will oversee a team of professionals, champion governance, and report to the CIO, acting as co-chair of the Data Governance Council.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience leading data platforms, data governance, and integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Data Platform and Application Services department.
• Design and evolve enterprise data platform and integration architecture.
• Oversee data governance, security, and access controls across the campus.
• Lead development of custom applications and system integrations.
• Partner with campus stakeholders to translate data needs into durable technical solutions.
• Manage and mentor a team of technical professionals.
