Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Director of Data Science to lead the delivery, deployment, and adoption of AI solutions across the enterprise. This role translates AI strategy into scalable, value-driving implementations and collaborates with technology and business teams.

This hybrid role includes 3 in-person days at Chicago, IL or Quincy, MA, with 2 remote days. The candidate will oversee model lifecycle, governance, and change management, and mentor data science delivery teams to accelerate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in AI, Data Science, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in AI/ML or analytics.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience building and deploying AI solutions in enterprise contexts.
• Strong understanding of model lifecycle and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI solution delivery and execution.
• Manage development of ML, GenAI, and predictive models.
• Support scaling of AI solutions and use cases across business functions.
• Implement AI frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Oversee model deployment, monitoring, and performance management.
• Drive AI integration into business workflows and systems.
• Collaborate with enterprise data, engineering, and platform teams.
