Partiful in New York is seeking a Head of Engineering to build and lead a high-performing org that can ship ambitious product and infra work with speed and quality as we scale.

You’ll own the health, output, and growth of the team - making sure the right people are in the right roles, the management layer is strong, and recruiting, culture, and execution reinforce each other. This is not a headcount-first role; you will drive leverage and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership of engineers in fast-paced startups.
• Proven track record building and scaling an engineering org with focus on delivery.
• Strong collaboration with product, design, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization focused on speed and quality.
• Partner with CTO on strategy, architecture, and roadmap prioritization.
• Own engineering execution, deadlines, and performance standards.
• Develop middle-management and a clear career ladder for engineers and managers.
• Drive recruiting end-to-end and codify engineering culture and standards.
• Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and ops.
